Volunteers bring unique skills and life experiences to support the work we do. We welcome new volunteers and provide supervision, induction and training. Volunteers can work directly with the people accessing Harmony Place through:
We are not able to provide work experience or volunteer opportunities for those wanting to offer counselling services to our clients due to the sensitive nature of this role.
We are flexible and can work around your needs but ask that you donate a few hours per week or fortnight for a minimum of six months due to the relationships you may potentially build with people.
Harmony Place accepts applications from students looking for placement at any time, but decides twice a year in November and May, which students to accept from those who have applied. If you are interested in being considered for placement, please answer the questions on the application form in no more than three pages and submit by 20th of November (for placement periods in the first half of the year) or 20th May (for placement periods occurring in the second half of the year).
