Mental Health service changes

It is with great sadness that we announce that from 1st July 2014 Harmony Place Mental Health Program will no longer be funded by Queensland Health and so we will not be taking any more referrals. Queensland Health will fund the Multicultural Development Association (MDA) located in Woolloongabba, to deliver similar services.

We have enjoyed many years of close connections with the multicultural community of Brisbane and will be continuing to provide services through our Community Education and Wellbeing activities and Partners in Recovery (PIR) Program. We will continue to work with groups of vulnerable men and women and soon will provide you with an update on our new activities and ways we engage with community, individuals and stakeholders.

We would like to extend the deepest gratitude to you for the privilege of walking with you on the journey to recovery and inclusion and thank you for the knowledge shared with us about community values, strengths and needs. We will take those learnings with us wherever we turn and the work we will continue to do. Since 1995, Harmony Place has been providing individual and family case management, counselling, advocacy, referrals and group work activities for all people from multicultural backgrounds aged 16 years and above, who were experiencing mental and emotional distress.
